Who can use AsknTeach?
Anyone! As long as you have a subject you need help with. From primary school to junior college, we’ve got a community for you.
Can I choose a mentor?
Yes you can! Simply search for the mentor username and subscribe to him/her - as easy as that!
Do I have to pay to use the AsknTeach app?
No, the AsknTeach app has free channels you are welcome to tap on for homework help. We believe that education should be made affordable and accessible to all. However, we introduced a fee to compensate for the time taken by our mentors to share their invaluable knowledge and study materials.
How many free questions do I get?
Unlike most other online tuition platforms, AsknTeach allows unlimited free questions so feel free to ask as many as you like on the home feed page. However, if you further explanation or guidance is required, do subscribed to a mentor for a more in-depth mentorship session over the standard duration of 1-week.
How much are mentorship sessions?
Depending on the level of education you’re at. A 1-week session with a qualified mentor costs $20 for primary school, $35 for secondary school and $50 for junior college level.
How many questions can I ask in a mentorship session?
Ask as many questions as you like in your 1-week session with your chosen mentor, however, do bear in mind that your mentor is a student just like you too. So do be considerate and allow them reasonable amount of time to respond to your queries.
Can I have multiple accounts with 1 number?
Yes, you can have access to both the AsknTeach and ANT Mentor apps all at once with a single mobile number. However, that’s provided your account has been approved to be a qualified mentor on AsknTeach.
Can I sign-up to be a mentor if I’m still in Secondary school?
Absolutely, as long as you’re able to demonstrate good academic results and a passion to help fellow students perform better in school.
Can I earn incentives from being a mentor?
Yes definitely, but only after our community managers has reviewed your application and list you as a qualified mentor on the AsknTeach app. ! ;) Hop over to the (insert mentor page link) to find out more.
How much incentives can I get as a mentor?
Depending on the level of education you’re able to provide mentorship for. Primary school mentors receive $16, Secondary mentors $28 and $40 for junior college mentors for a standard 1-week mentorship session.
Do I still get paid if someone used my promocode for a free session?
Yes, you’ll be paid just the same depending on the level of education you’re providing mentorship for. However, do note that, promocodes can only be redeemed once per student, so do encourage them to pay for the next session with you if they require further help from you.
How do I cashout on my mentor earnings?
You can cash out by clicking the Cash Out in your profile page in the Mentor App. An email will be sent to our finance and we will contact you shortly.
How long does it take for cashout to be processed?
It will typically take 3-5 working days for our finance to contact you. Thank you so much for your patience.
How does the payment work?
Payment can be made in-app through the student/parent versions of the AsknTeach app. Payment is made on a one-off basis for a 1-week open-chat with your selected mentor. Thereafter, you may choose to subscribe to recurring payments or pay as required.
How do I know if my child is getting quality mentorship?
Mentors are required to submit an application with true copies of their latest results slip to become a qualified mentor on the AsknTeach app. Our dedicated team of community managers screen these applications on a regular basis to ensure consistency and quality of the mentorship for our student users.
